Icicle Bicycle Club (IBC), Leavenworth’s middle school and high school team ended their season strong.   “We had a number of new riders to the team that have really grown and excelled in the sport.  We’re as proud of them as we are the race winner”, said Travis Blue, IBC coach.

At the State Championships at Squilchuck State Park on Saturday, June 2^nd, 31 of the 39 registered team members raced.  Eight team members placed in the top 4 in the race in their respective categories.  Sisters Isabel and Caroline Menna placed first, in their categories earning them the “State Championship” title.  In addition, five of team members placed in the top 3 in the overall series, winning multiple races throughout the season.  Icicle River Middle School held on to their 1^st place team ranking for the race and earning it for the series.   What a season!

  Stella Johnson took 2^nd in the race, and 1^st overall for the series
• Advanced Middle School Girls
  Edie Walker placed 4^th in the race
• 8^th Grade Boys/Girls
  Olen Johnson placed 2^nd in the race, and 2^nd overall in the series
  Greer Swoboda placed 2^nd in the race, and 3^rd overall in the series
• 7^th Grade
  Isabel Menna placed 1st in the race, 1^st in the series and was named a State Champion
• 6^th Grade Girls/Boys
  Caroline Menna placed 1st in the race, and was named a State Champion
  Mia Dreis placed 2^nd in the race, and 3^rd overall in the series
  Jonas Johnson placed 3^rd in the race, and 3^rd overall in the series
• Team
  Icicle River Middle School placed 1^st in the race, and 1^st overall in the series

In addition, Tobin Walker (9^th), Brendan Fallon (8^th) and Aiden Tuttle (8^th) raced in the 21^st annual Bavarian Bike and Brew on June 1^st.  Tobin placed 2^nd in Cat 2, Boys 18 and under, while Brendan and Aiden placed 2^nd and 3^rd, respectively in Cat 3, 11- 14.
